The B&W DM685 is a great all-round speaker for its money! A few things to keep in mind though that they are slightly forgiving and soft in their sound. They are also missing that very last bit in resolution in the midrange. But with the price tag in mind I think it is hard to find a better stand mount speaker in this class. They are very versatile and play all music with style and energy. The bass is amazing for being a small stand mount speaker and with some muscle amplifier behind it you will be able to play pretty loud! I have matched them with a Rotel RA-06 SE rated at 70w and it turned out to be a perfect combo. I can nothing more than to recommend the 685’s if you want a small versatile speaker with a big sound stage.
