Today I heard from a very reliable source that B&W are discontinuing their premium design XT-series speakers. As far as I know and can find on internet there has been no official announcement from B&W regarding this and no other tech news posted about it either.
When I check my old XT-series bookmark on B&W website I get a blank page. Also looking through the “Products” menu on B&W website shows that there are no longer any XT pages to view. Doing a search on the website with the built-in search feature will still give you search hits on “XT8, XT2” and so on, but once you click the results you get a blank page.
We can only speculate in why this awesome high-end design series of speakers have been discontinued and hopefully the only logic reason is that they are being upgraded with a new similar series of speakers. I hope I can return very soon with more info on XT-series.
